Awards: Ilaria Santoemma, a Sant'Anna School research fellow, receives the Paola Bora award for the doctoral thesis category in the field of gender studies

Ilaria Santoemma, a research fellow of Sant'Anna School, receives the Paola Bora Prize, established by the Casa della Donna di Pisa in collaboration with the Comitati Unici di Garanzia (CUGs) of Sant'Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore and University of Pisa, under the patronage of the Società Italiana delle storiche e delle letterate, which aims to reward master's and doctoral thesis works written in the field of gender studies. Research fellow Ilaria Santoemma was awarded in the doctoral thesis prize category for her work, entitled "A Cartography of the Posthumanities. New Frames from Epistemologies to Political Philosophy", conducted together with Barbara Henry, professor of Political Philosophy, as part of the PhD program in Human Rights and Global Politics.

The Award wants to remember the figure of Paola Bora, president of the Casa della Donna from April 2011 until her death on January 24, 2015. Paola Bora, in addition to being a feminist activist, was a professor of philosophical anthropology at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and of gender anthropology at the University of Pisa.
